The parts of the Nova lie on a table: a round base, two arm sections and the shade. Narrator: Let us put the Nova together.
Screw the lower arm into the base clockwise, then clip the upper arm onto the hinge until the blue marks line up. Narrator: First this piece, then this one.
Push the shade onto the upper arm and turn the dimmer ring under the shade to switch on. Narrator: And you are done.

Ilze: Welcome back to the Luma podcast. Today Jonas tells us about the very first lamp.
Jonas: It was a desk lamp made from a bicycle brake cable and a jam jar. It lit my desk for six years.
Ilze: And it still works?
Jonas: It hangs in the workshop. We switch it on every morning. [laughter]
